Sarina LaMarche, Minneapolis, MN
Sarina, can you tell us about yourself?
I am a career and life balance coach
and mother to Daxton, 4, and Ryder, 2. Through individual and group coaching I help people create more energy, balance, and passion in their lives. I assist men and women as they navigate life transitions, whether motherhood or career. I have my own part-time practice in Minneapolis (www.onebalancedlife.com) and am a Senior Career and Work/Life Balance Coach with Renee’s company--Career Strategists—based in Austin. I also support the Renee Trudeau & Associates Personal Renewal Group facilitator program.
Why did you become a Personal Renewal Group (PRG) Facilitator?
After becoming a mother, I knew a huge shift had occurred in my life. As a result of that experience, I began to explore what was available for education and support in my community. There were so many wonderful resources locally that addressed my child's development, yet there was nothing that addressed my development as a mother. I set out to create a series of classes and workshops for a prenatal wellness center and in the process found Renee and The Mother’s Guide to Self-Renewal. Oh, how I wish I had found the book and program before spending so much time creating my own stuff! I immediately signed-up to begin leading self-renewal circles for women and have loved every minute of the work.
How has the PRG work changed or effected you?
The effect the PRG work has had on my life is immeasurable. I have been changed as a result of my experiences on both personal and professional levels. The work has allowed mean to gain a better understanding of how I can function at my best, as a mother, wife, friend, sister, coach - and that the path to do so is so simple. It is truly all about self-care. One of the biggest benefits of becoming a PRG facilitator, is the growth I’ve had in my individual coaching business. I end up coaching the sisters, brothers, friends, and husbands of my group participants. I am deeply grateful for the connections I have made with clients, other PRG Facilitators and with Renee and our team. And most importantly, I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a witness to the tremendous impact the book and work has on PRG participants and women around the world.
What are your favorite self-care activities?
Seriously I can't pick one. It so depends on what I need in the moment - being outdoors, gardening, creating, moving my body, traveling, and moving slow are a few that jump out for me!
