Tell us about yourself:
I am a mother of  three (17 yr-old son, 15 yr-old daughter, and a three yr-old daughter), married to a wonderful supportive husband. I’m a professional life coach and I live in Brampton, Ontario, Canada and am excited to be conducting my first Personal Renewal Group (PRG) in September 2011. I am a very passionate person, I love to support personal growth in others. People often ask me, “are you always this positive?” I try to really be conscious about the decisions I make for myself and my family and I am grateful for the life I have. I love to make people laugh, humor is the best way to a person’s heart. One of my life goals is to write a book on “Choices, Resources and Support: Inspiring a Healthy Life”.  I am eager to offer PRGs to my community and allow women to share in a sacred space with like-minded people. I also have a magical connection with teens, where I advocate, validate and let them be heard. The kids in my community call me “Mama Shell,” a name that I cherish.

Why did you become a Personal Renewal Group (PRG)Facilitator?
I researched many organizations trying to find one that is aligned with my ideas and visions. When I received an email to learn more about Renee Trudeau & Associates and the PRG Program, I was very excited. I’ve overcome many obstacles in my life, and I feel the calling to utilize my “gifts” in this wonderful group. Being a PRG Facilitator is allowing me to focus on what is important to me. My mission statement for my groups is “Creating a safe and courageous space that will open the door for you to discover and explore yourself. The path to your journey is one step at a time.”

How has the PRG work changed or affected you?
Just reading and reflecting on The Mother’s Guide to Self-Renewal for myself has brought awareness, clarity and reconnection with myself. I am excited to support, facilitate and offer resources from the Mother’s Guide to Self-Renewal to help women reconnect with who they are. This will change my life in many ways. I’ve always had a deep desire and passion to empower women to connect to their authentic self. This group fulfills one of my personal goals and allows me to be a part of group members’ transformation, as well.

What are your favorite self-care activities?
I enjoy walking, music, reading, kickboxing and playing volleyball. I really appreciate nature and all its beauty; I value the time when I can get outside and just “BE.”
