Denver, Colorado

Tell us about yourself:

I live in the southeast Denver metro area of Colorado with my family.  Born and raised in Minnesota, I grew up loving the humidity, water, all four seasons, and, as a true Minnesotan, playing Duck Duck Gray Duck.  When I’m not working or being a mom, I can often be found on one of my two bikes {road and mountain}, occasionally stopping to catch my breath or take a snapshot with my camera phone and posting it on Instagram.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a certificate in Human and Organizational Development. My professional career has allowed me to broadly develop my Human Resources skills, with my main areas of expertise being full-cycle recruitment and employee relations.  In addition to facilitating Personal Renewal Groups and working in HR part-time, I am passionate about assisting women in career transition by helping with resume writing, networking and interviewing skills.

Why did you become a RTA-Certified Facilitator?

Renee’s book has been transformative for me in my recent life, and I wished as a young mother I had access to the materials and, even more so, the Personal Renewal Groups (PRGs).  I feel very strongly that PRGs will be transformative for anyone who takes the leap, and I am so happy that I get to be a part of that journey.  As we all will learn from each other, I am looking forward to a continual self- transformation through these groups for me as well.

How has this (self-care/Personal Renewal Group) work changed or affected you?

I had the book, The Mother’s Guide to Self-Renewal, on my bookshelf for a while, but I hadn’t taken the time to really work through it.  When I finally sat down with the book, the messages and themes of the book so deeply spoke to me, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t taken the time to do this sooner.  I had been going through a time of self discovery, and the book really helped me to reconnect with who I was/am, encouraged me to do the things that I am passionate about, and confirm that “good is good enough!”

What are your favorite self-care activities?

A good cup of coffee and a great book on a cold, dreary day…

Riding my road bike on trails that take me by water, trees, and even farmland allows me to search for beauty in the unexpected or mundane, think and be with myself while taking care of my body…

Riding my mountain bike with an awesome group of women has empowered me like nothing else before, allowing me to push both my mental and physical limits of what I believe I can do.

An annual girls weekend with old and new friends at a favorite ranch for mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, fantastic food, zero responsibilities and the expected shenanigans that go with a group of women getting together to have a great time!

How can people contact you or learn about your groups/retreats?

Please visit my Facebook page (Spring Symphony), website www.springsymphony.com or send an e-mail to keely@springsymphony.com, to express interest in a group and to provide feedback on when a group would work best with your schedule!
