Tell us about yourself?
I’m been working as a career coach in London, England for over eight years and am the UK’s first Renee Trudeau and Associates-Trained PRG Facilitator. I have a seven month old baby girl named Kirsty who is always giggling and smiling!
Why did you become a Personal Renewal Group (PRG) Facilitator?
There are many local organizations that run parenting groups but nothing where I lived for mums wanting to explore the issues covered in Personal Renewal Group Program around self-care and balance. Motherhood raises a lot of questions and women are seeking a place where they can explore these in a confidential and empowering setting.
How has the PRG work changed or affected you?
The single most important aspect has been (through the chapter on Creating Your Personal Support System), the reminder to create and build a support group. My list of friends/resources is now posted up in my kitchen as a daily reminder that I do in fact have an abundance of support at all time and I can live a life of ease. The second most powerful theme for me has been around deepening the relationship with my husband (from Changing Relationships: Staying Connected).
What are your favorite self-care activities?
Going for a walk, singing, and dancing. I also love to wallow in a hot bath with a great book and go ahhhhh…!
