Tell us about yourself:
I have many years of experience as a babyboomer mama! The first half of my life I was an educator and it coincided well with the raising of my little girls then I filled my empty nest with new trainings and certifications as a master retreat, life and woman’s empowerment coach.  I also wove into my tapestry the arts of speaking, writing and being a singer/songwriter and Reiki Master-Teacher. The latter came about when my dad was passing with Alzheimer’s. Mothering my daddy during that time broke me open—I learned about singing to him and about using healing energy to calm him. My experiences with my own babies from toddlers to tweens–sometimes painfully took me out of my comfort zone—but opened up a wisdom place for me. Those precious, priceless yet difficult years stretched me and brought me to a bigger grander space, unknowingly preparing me to parent my parents and even midwife them on to their next journey. I love where I am today—a wise womansoul who loves immersing herself in all her roles as wife, mother, daughter, grandmommie, sister, friend and coach. I have learned to find love and beauty in every moment–even the hardest, most difficult ones.

Why did you become a Personal Renewal Group (PRG) Facilitator?
I love integrating the PRG program into my coaching practice. I love holding that beautiful sacred space for mothers, young and old alike. I truly believe that self-care for mothers of all ages is of the utmost importance and is critical to raising healthy loving human beings who bring their unique gifts to Mother Earth. As mothers we hold a special ‘love’ deep within that needs to be nurtured and cared for. But, it also takes a village; mothering is not a task to do alone.

How has the PRG work changed or affected you?
The Personal Renewal Groups allow a beautiful circle of wise womansouls to come together and support each other, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Mothering is an honor and probably the most difficult choice women ever make. PRG circles help soften the rough edges that flare up at times, bring comfort and consolation, and help us celebrate our joyful moments. This is a time when we are so in love with our babies but we should also be taking time to be in love with our own selves. When I first learned of PRGs, I knew this was the gentle program I wished I had had for myself. Now I get to experience it as I offer it to others.

What are your favorite self-care activities?
My favorite activities now are journaling, retreating in nature, reading good quality books, riding around with my husband in our little red jeep with the top off, getting up really early in the morning and lighting a candle to connect with my beautiful gentle Spirit, yoga stretches and good walking, sharing sweet fun time with my grown daughters and experiencing little funny moments with my grandbabies. I have a fairy garden for them and we like to swing in my big swing by the springhouse. I also love music, concerts and artistically crafted movies and plays that carry healthy messages.
