Tell us about yourself:
I live in Warsaw – capital city of Poland (European Union) with my husband and children (Antek, 5 years old and Zuzia, 3.5 years old). For 4 years I’ve been supporting mothers in being mums on their own terms. Additionally, I’m a Positive Discipline Parent Educator and, together with my friends, we are bringing Positive Discipline into Poland by publishing Jane Nelsen’s books, tool cards, and doing workshops and webinars. I hold an MA in Psychology, I’m a coach and certified trainer. I own and operate my small business and cooperate with charities which are also supporting families.
Why did you become a RTA-Certified Facilitator?
When I started supporting mothers I was wondering if somewhere out there are ready-made programs for mums. And I found Renee’s work. The next step was to obtain a book. When I got it, I fell in love with the chapter titles because it appeared that mothers have the same problems all over the world. The book helped me to organize the problems which my clients have. I decided to become a RTA-Facilitator and start doing group coaching/women’s circles and be able to integrate this tested program with my growing expertise.
How has this work changed or affected you?
I’m a strongly goal oriented person and I knew that I needed some relief in my life. Now I’ve got a deeper connection with others and with myself. I value more my time to relax, and the small things which give the feeling of life: flowers, candles, hugs, walks. I know how to slow down, and I’m on a good path to doing this more everyday.
What are your favorite self-care activities?
I attend a small yoga class twice a week where I have an opportunity to talk about health food and experience deeper connection with the world on a spiritual level. I love being with my family, walking in nature, by the river or in the woods. Spending time with my friends, drinking tea and just talking. I also have my small garden on the balcony. I like doing small things for myself, cooking things which I like to eat, enjoying candles and baking.
