Tell us about yourself:

I am the Founder and Owner of Creative Soul Care™, which offers Expressive Art Workshops in music, art, writing and movement for women to nourish their soul. I started the company after my daughter left for the university as a way to reconnect with my “creative soul.” I trained in California and discovered that I was interested in several artistic modalities that can be facilitated in the expressive (intuitive) way, so I pursued training in group drumming and percussion, art, writing, and movement. I am a Certified UCLArts and Healing Music Medicine Facilitator, a Certified Kaizen Muse Creative Coach and a Certified Forgiveness Coach. In addition, I am a Licensed JourneyCircles™ Soul Collage Facilitator. I LOVE what I do and firmly believe that to live the life your soul desires you need to have creativity in your self-care “tool kit” to reconnect and communicate with your authentic self.

Why did you become a RTA-Certified Facilitator?

The Renee Trudeau & Associates Facilitator program is a perfect complement to Creative Soul Care™ Workshops. With this training, I now have the added bonus of integrating self-care material into my workshops. I was initially drawn to the self-renewal retreats and Renee’s books for my own self-care, but I soon realized the material is so beneficial to women that I decided to become an RTA-Certified Facilitator so that I could share Renee’s materials in my workshops and learn the art/science of group facilitation.

How has this work changed or affected you?

The program has reinforced one of my personal goals to seek balance (personal/family/business/health & well-being/travel) in my life. I believe good self-care helps me achieve my “balanced life” goal. The RTA curriculum has provided many models/strategies/resources/self-care ideas, tips and help make self-care a desirable daily habit.

What are your favorite self-care activities?

Music, movement, rhythm and art are my favorite creative outlets. I love the intuitive nature of my creativity as it allows me to enjoy being in the creative process with no stress to make a specific product. In regards to my physical self-care, I have been doing Embodied yoga and Reformer Pilates for over 10 years and the classes have made me stronger, more flexible and more physically confident. I love to walk my dog every morning as she reminds me to be mindful of the lovely nature around us as she stops many times to sniff the landscapes. I also love a hot bath and a massage.

How can people contact you or learn about your groups/retreats?
