One spring morning in 2023–way before the devastating flooding that happened in my backyard in fall 2024– I awoke with a dream draped around my shoulders that I couldn’t shake. All day, I kept seeing a large roomful of women from across North Carolina having deep, soulful conversations … The dream beckoned, “Gather the women of North Carolina on April 25th, 2025 to explore what it means to tend to your creative fire ….to be ALIVE. And to connect deeply to the calling: “What is uniquely mine to do?” Listening to this tap on the shoulder, I followed my my intuition–as I always do —and reserved a beautiful space on a shimmering lake high in the Blue Ridge Mountains for an event like none I’ve ever done. The gathering (it had it’s own vision) wanted to be a national creativity conference for women from across our region, but due to the fallout from Hurricane Helene, it became a dynamic, nourishing one-day retreat. At least this year. It’s our intention this April 25th retreat will be a “seed event” for a 2026 North Carolina Creativity Conference for Women. ~ Renee

Lake Logan Retreat Center is located in Canton, NC on beautiful Lake Logan in the Smokies, the oldest mountain range in the world and just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina (a powerful land, embued deeply with the energy of the Divine Feminine). The Retreat Center has been a healing sanctuary for body, mind and soul since 1930. These beautiful, sacred mountains hold you in a warm, forgiving, gentle embrace. This nature-based retreat space offers 500 acres of forest bathing/hiking, a stunning lakefront beach area, swimming and kayaking and extraordinary views—all in the stunning beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC (45 min. from the Asheville airport and 50 minutes from Brevard).

9:00 a.m. Arrive: coffee and tea and getting settled/ 9:30 Welcome: how to get the most from the retreat, ritual, intention-setting & group exercise; program options outside and indoors/11:00-12:00 heart-centered yoga class/12-1:45 lunch and option for solo date or connection/2- 3:00 Tending Your Creative Fire lively salon with thought leaders, facilitated by Renee/3-4:00 reflection exercise; small and large group guided exploration/ 4-5 p.m. tending your creative fire in your daily life: program/exercise/connection (you will have the option to leave the retreat with a support sister). 5-7 p.m. Optional/recommended: meet the speakers/wine tasting/live music at sunset by the fire outside and relaxed connection.
