How do I get to the Lake Logan Retreat Center?

The Retreat Center at Lake Logan is located at 25 Wormy Chestnut Lane, Canton, North Carolina 28716

If flying, the closest airport is Asheville (AVL) Regional which is 45 minutes from Lake Logan (Allegiant has many direct flights to AVL).  The Greenville airport is 1 hour from Lake Logan and the Charlotte airport is approximately 2 hours. The closest big cities are Charlotte, NC (2 hr 30 mins ) and Knoxville, TN (2 hrs). You will need a rental car or a transportation service to get to and from Lake Logan but once you are on the grounds everything is walkable.

For transportation services, Lake Logan recommends Asheville Premier Transport or visit the Asheville Regional website transportation recommendations here.

Interested in ride-sharing from the airport? Let us know and we’ll connect you to others and you can coordinate with them.

When do I leave and arrive, what is the schedule?

Check-in is on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Main Lodge. We will finish our retreat at noon on Sunday, September 17th (check out is at noon). Lunch is served immediately after and is included in your retreat package. You will have free time on Sat. from around noon-2 and on Sat. evening. You are welcome to stay on the property ground on Sunday afternoon.

Can you tell me more about the retreat lodging?

It took Renee three years of searching the Western NC Mountains to find this retreat center (she’s picky!).  This retreat space is all about the land, the quiet serenity/privacy and the the stunning lake/mountain views. Lake Logan Center is on beautiful, sacred land and the surrounding forest is protected by the North Carolina Land Conservancy.  Almost 500 acres, the center was established in the 1930’s and the lakeside property includes six, historic log cabins that were moved from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and reconstructed at Lake Logan–they’re very special.

The retreat lodging set-up is ideal for a women’s retreat. It provides quiet space for contemplation, forest bathing and relaxing communal spaces designed to foster rich, deep connection with your peers. We love the set-up and think you will, too!

All of our room are on the lakefront (unless you need to be near the main lodge). We’re offering Premium and Deluxe accommodations and you will be assigned to a very comfortable historic cabin or an updated lakeside house (all private rooms are heated/have AC and have comfortable mattresses). These accommodations will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis based on registration date and room type (let us know if you have any physical limitations; some cabins are a bit farther from the main hall than others; we do have a cabin set aside for anyone who wants to be right next to our meeting room/dining hall). You can also drive to/from the main hall to your cabin if you choose. There is ample parking.

Deluxe housing includes a private room, private bathroom and a lake-front view and porch.  Premium housing includes a private room, a private or shared bath, a forest view and a porch. Linens and towels are provided by the retreat center but please bring what will make your experience most comfortable.

Each cabin or lodge has a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and most have working fireplaces.

If you’re interested in bringing a friend/family member to the retreat and sharing a room with them, please reach out to us right away to arrange this at info@reneetrudeau.com. The discounted price to add a roommate will be $1200 which includes all the benefits.  (There are no cancellations after July 1.)

Please note, WiFi is not available in the Lakeside lodging, but it is available in the main meeting spaces. We strongly encourage you to spend the weekend unplugged. Any questions about lodging or special needs? Email us at info@reneetrudeau.com!

What kind of food will be served — will you have GF and vegetarian options?

Food is medicine–especially when enjoyed in this beautiful environment with other soulful women! During your retreat you will enjoy six fresh lovingly prepared, southern-inspired home cooked meals curated by Renee and Chef Amber, a third generation “learned from grandma” amazing cook.

We’ll enjoy seasonal, fresh, local (whenever possible) ingredients and vegetables. At each meal, gluten free and vegetarian options will be available. Throughout your stay healthy, delicious snacks and hot tea will also be available. Have a special diet or favorite snacks and drinks you love? Feel free to bring what you need—you’ll have a fridge!   This is an alcohol/drug free retreat, however, an optional wine-tasting will be offered Saturday evening at dinner/the bonfire.

Will I be able to drive the property, how much walking is involved?

Lake Logan Retreat Center is fully walkable (and includes many trails) with the furthest cabin being a 10-15 minute walk to dining hall and main meeting center. If you are driving or have a rental, cars are allowed on property and there is easy parking access for all cabins, meeting spaces and the dining hall.  If you will not have a car and have special physical limitations, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accomadate you.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

Due to the strict reservation policies of Lake Logan and the high cost involved in putting on such an intimate, carefully curated/designed retreat experience, if you need to cancel, you must do so in writing at info@reneetrudeau.com by JULY 1 and you will receive a full refund, minus a $150 processing/administrative fee. You can call 512-459-6700 to confirm your cancellation was received.  We’re sorry there are no exceptions; this is a strict policy due to the pre-paid expenses and our contractual agreement with the venue.

We strongly recommend you purchase travel/trip insurance. We do not give refunds for any reason including cancellations due to travel interruptions/delays or Covid/sickness-related cancellations.

What is the investment and how do I reserve my spot?

The cost of the comprehensive retreat package is $1699 for a Premium Forest/Lakeside room. If you’re interested in bringing a friend/family member to the retreat and sharing a room with them, please reach out to us right away to arrange this at info@reneetrudeau.com. The discounted price to add a roommate will be $1200 which includes all the benefits. The same cancellation policy applies to your friend/family member.

Make sure you read all the details on the retreat page on what is covered in this comprehensive self-renewal support package and what makes this intimate experience so special  (which also includes an optional small group mentoring session with Renee on facilitating life changing retreats/women’s groups; more on her highly successful “retired” Facilitator Program here).

To reserve your spot, you may pay for the retreat in full OR pay a $500 down payment. If you choose the two-payment option, the remainder, plus a $25  processing fee, will be charged (using the credit card on file; make sure and check “save my information”) on July 2.

Please read the cancellation policy carefully. This is a very popular retreat and the interest has been extremely high. We are limiting the size to 25 and this retreat is almost sold out. If it calls to you, don’t wait. Once it fills, please request to be on the waiting list in case we have any wiggle room.

Questions or requests? Email us at info@reneetrudeau.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.
