Bellingham, WA
Tell us about yourself:
I live in Bellingham, WA, just an hour between Seattle and Vancouver, BC. My work is all about holistic harmony; I am an Empowerment Coach with a background in Positive Psychology, creative stress management, and interpersonal/intercultural communication. I offer live online coaching for Highly Sensitive People (HSP) and customized harp lessons for students all over the world. I am a former harp therapy practitioner, having played harp at the bedside of hospice, hospital and cancer patients who were the inspiration for my CD, On Wings of a Dove – Harp Music to Soothe The Soul which I incorporate into my groups. The harp CD was used as background in this video to create an atmosphere of deep peace: Soothing Relaxation Harp Music.
Additionally, my nurse sister and I published a guidebook called Friends in DEEDS – 101+ Ways to Help a Friend in Need to encourage anyone facing challenge or transition to express their personal needs for practical support.
Why did you become a RTA-Certified Facilitator?
Renee’s authentic, insightful teachings so resonated with my heart work and purpose. Her valuable curriculum speaks to mothers and women of all ages. After a rich phone consult with her (part of the training), my life began shifting rapidly and dramatically – opening me to my dream of facilitating Personal Renewal Groups (PRG) in lovely retreat venues. My particular interest is facilitating inspiring and playful retreats for my contemporaries – women over 50, caregivers, and Highly Sensitive Women in live online webinars and beautiful, natural settings.
How has this work changed or affected you?
I believe EX-pression is LIFE! By exploring and sharing with other women, we find our voice, release stuck energy, and channel it into our purpose and passion. Nothing is more satisfying to me than supporting others in this process. The PRG self-care curriculum is enlivening, encouraging and FUN! In my groups, we explore, express, play with music, movement, journaling, and enjoy precious time in nature.
What are your favorite self-care activities?
Savoring, yoga, hiking alone in nature, singing, writing, kayaking, biking, playing harp and piano, and being with “my tribe” and loved ones keeps me renewed and balanced.
