Asheville, NC
Tell us about yourself:
I am a retired Cordon Bleu chef. I spent several years training in Europe while living there with my husband and small (at the time) children. A good deal of my life was spent in South Florida working in yacht clubs and running a catering business. I studied nutrition in college and began my interest in food at a young age. I have studied the use of medicinal herbs at the Asheville School for Holistic Herbalism. I now live in Asheville, NC and spend several months every winter on my boat in the Caribbean.
Why did you become a RTA-Certified Facilitator?
I met Renee while attending one of her retreats at Kripalu. I have been going to Kripalu for 10 years and find it very restorative and energizing for me. The joy and enlightenment that I witnessed during our New Way of Being Women’s Self-Renewal Retreat led me to me to want to join the global RTA-Certified Facilitator community. I want be able to extend these teachings/support to more women. I hope to be offering Personal Renewal Groups beginning in June in Asheville.
What are your favorite self-care activities?
With my children grown and beginning lives of their own, I find more than ever it is Time for Me. It has been a beautiful awakening at this phase of my life and I am most excited for what awaits me!
My favorite self care activities include any Yin or restorative yoga. My life is extremely active and this practice provides me the much-needed time to go inward. My personal meditation practice helps keep me focused on what is really important to me.
