Tell us about yourself:
Greetings! Home for me, my beloved husband, John, and our precious 10 month old son, Oliver, is wherever our transient military lifestyle places us. I founded Synchronicity Wellness as a way to integrate my various trainings, and to creatively offer my skills while being a work-from-home-mom and transient military family. My academic background has led to becoming a graduate level and board-certified Counselor, Special Education Teacher, registered 500 hour Therapeutic Yoga Teacher, and RTA-Certified Facilitator.
Why did you become a RTA-Certified Facilitator?
I became a Facilitator because I’m passionate about empowering, supporting, and celebrating women as they evolve into the most authentic expression of themselves, especially amid life transitions or uncertainty. My heart’s desire is to skillfully offer a safe and sacred space for folks to delve within, do the courageous work of compassionate self-reflection, engage in meaningful dialogue with others, access their innate wellspring of peace, and bravely head out into the world as their most authentic selves. I believe connection with self and connection with others occurs when our courage to be vulnerable is met with compassion.
How has this work changed or affected you?
As synchronicity would have it, I discovered “The Mother’s Guide to Self-Renewal” practically glowing on a bookshelf while in line to pay for my first Mommy and Me Yoga class. The fog from an unexpected and mild bout of postpartum depression had just begun to lift, and I was mindfully seeking a way to renew, reconnect with myself, and re-balance my life. I curiously perused the table of contents, which prompted me to ask the studio owner to tell me a little about the book. My heart fluttered with hope, encouragement, and inspiration in the precise way I needed at this stage in my motherhood journey! Reading the book, doing the online Facilitator Training, and experiencing the creativity I tapped while in the Personal Renewal Group preparation phase has been a soothing balm for my entire being – mind, body, and soul. Being a RTA-Certified Facilitator is a two-fold gift – I grow, heal, and become nourished just as much as the women in our circle.
