(Video) What Does Self-Care Mean to YOU?
I’m in the middle of moving homes, putting together a new professional support team, recalibrating my post-pandemic speaking business and adjusting to life as a new empty nester. It’s a lot to navigate. And, I would not be able to move through all these transitions with some sanity if I was not fully committed to my own self-care. I define self-care as: the art and science of attuning and responding to your needs and desires …moment to moment.
For me, it’s not about adding something to your to-do list, it’s cultivating a kinder, gentler, more supportive way of being with yourself. Here’s a short video chat on self-care with my friends at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. This was filmed while I leading a retreat there:
