How Are You Nourishing Your Soul?
I grew up in an interfaith family where spirituality was front and center. My childhood home had a large meditation/prayer room to the right of the front door and I have a sister named Teresa (after the Roman Catholic nun/missionary) and a brother named Shiva (after the Hindu deity of transformation). As you can imagine, conversation at our dinner table was never dull! Spirituality–being connected to something bigger than ourselves–is deeply ingrained in all that I do. I consider spiritual renewal just as important as physical, emotional and mental self-care. This week I’m pausing to check-in and ask, “How am I nourishing my soul right now?” Read more on this theme; I’d love to hear how you nurture your spirit!
When we make time to nourish our souls we feel more connected to ourselves and one another, we experience a deeper sense of meaning and purpose in our lives and we begin to cultivate a greater sense of trust and inner peace. “At any moment, you have a choice, that either leads you closer to your spirit or further away from it.” Thich Nhat Hanh
