When We Change Our Perspective, We Change Our Thoughts
Last week a dear friend was lamenting about how overwhelmed and exhausted she was feeling. She was being critical about her perceived inability to “manage it all.” I listened quietly, gave her a long hug and asked,” Have you perhaps forgotten that you’re navigating a career change, you’ve taken on a new role at work, you’re not sleeping well and your child is struggling in high school?” She paused and took a deep breath. “Well when you put it that way, yes, I do have a lot going on and probably need to be a little easier on myself,” she said and exhaled. Watch (2 min. video) “Is It Time to Change Your Perspective?” where I share my favorite exercise and antidote to overwhelm.

Last night my family went up to the Blue Ridge Parkway for an evening picnic. The view was amazing. This week, I’m sitting with the reflection: “Is it time to change my perspective?”
